This production consists solely of a brand new series of stories never told before to the human ear called Further Tales of Arabian Nights. Scheherazade is weaving tale after tale trying to keep the Sultan awake. He has gone through many storytellers already, beheading each one that bores him. Scheherazade, with the help of the Genie who lives in her ruby ring, has a new trick up her sleeve. She begins one story about a Princess called Katourna and a dancer called Suhaila who exchange places. But just at the most interesting moment when she has the Sultan hanging on her every word, she switches to a new story leaving the Sultan hanging.
Scheherazade is as wise as she is talented and keeps the Sultan on edge through a series of stories, always returning shortly to the story of Katourna and Suhaila. All the stories can be staged with opulent or minimal sets--as the director desires. Further Tales of Arabian Nights has many opportunities for magic, humor and splendor!
